Fishing on Lake Victoria
Uganda is also privileged to have Lake Victoria which is the largest flesh water lake in Africa. With this magnificent lake at our disposal, so many activities can be done on this lake. This include relaxing on several beaches, involving your self in half or full day fishing activities. You can as well go for sun set cruises, wine and cheese plus boat cruises to the Equator. You can as well take a boat or ferry to the nearby islands such as Ssese Islands, Bulago Island and Ngamba Island for chimpanzee viewing. Ngamba island is home to several orphaned chimps and your visit will be spiced up by chimpanzee viewing and informative talks from one of the care givers.

Kampala is no longer a city of seven hills but has grown to cover several hills. You can visit several craft shops in Kampala, the Uganda Museum that boost of highest collections of ethnographic materials in the whole of Africa, if you are interested in cultural performances, then family shows at Ndere Center is the best way to go. You can as well take the Kabaka Trail to visit the Lubiri at Mengo, Buganda Parliament, Kabaka’s lake, several cathedrals and Mosques set up by early missionaries in Uganda. Lake Mburo National Park
One of the small National Park Located closer to Kampala on your way to the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is popular as a stop over to the gorillas and its boat cruises on the Lake. It is one of the only two national parks in Uganda that has Zebras. You can enjoy game drives on your way to the gorillas or after gorillas.
Lake Bunyonyi
This small lake formed as a result of Lava Damning is located in south western Uganda and is the deepest lake in Uganda. The Lake derives its name from Small Birds that are popular around this lake. This peace full lake is popular for canoe rides to explorer islands that do exist on this lake. You can also take some hikes to the hills that surround this lake. This place is best visited by those who trek gorillas in Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Located 7 hours drive from Kampala, Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the popular place to view savannah game in Uganda. With the tree climbing lions of Ishasha, over 600 species of birds and several schools of hippos, one can not afford to visit Uganda and fail to see Uganda at its best in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The highlight of this park is the boat cruise on Kazinga Channel that connects two graben lakes of Edward and George and is by far the largest natural channel in the world and has the highest concentration of hippos in the whole world. A two hour boat cruise on this channel exposes you to several wild life that you might not find on any given game drive in Ugandan National Parks on a good day. If you are a fun of game drives, then an early or evening game drive to Kasenyi will be rewarding as this is a place that has several kob mating grounds and cats such as lions and leopards. The park is gifted with several explosive crate lakes such as Munyanyange that is home to flamingos, lake Katwe where the locals extract salt and other crater lakes that have shaped the topography of this great National Park
Rwenzori National Park
Commonly known as “The Mountains of the Moon”, Rwenzori is the highest mountain ranges in Africa. With its snow capes, it is a challenge for mountain trekkers who want to reach the peak of this great mountain. You can choose to do 3, 4, or 8 days trek. Alternatively, you can decide to visit Mt Rwenzori National Park for walks in search for birds and primates.
Other great places include Murchison Falls National Parks for boat cruises and game drives, kibale National park for chimp trekking and bird watching, Budongo for chmp trekking among other areas.
