The Sundowner cruise on the River Nile in Murchison Falls National Park is one of the most thrilling experiences nature has to offer. The sundowner cruise starts at about 3:30 pm, heading upstream towards the Nyamsika sandbar, as well as a visit to the delta point where the Victoria Nile meets the Albert Nile. Depending on where your lodge is located, you can be picked up at the lodge or drive to the jetty, another starting point of your cruise. The cruise comes with a variety of drinks and snacks like beers, sodas, bottled water, champagne, meatballs, cheese, nachos, and peanuts to mention but a few. When you do begin your sundowner cruise, the river banks at this time of the day are teaming with lots of wildlife like hippos, elephants, crocodiles, bushbucks, buffalos, and a wide variety of birds which your boat skipper will be pointing out to you. The boat cruise takes about 3 hours and that’s why it’s advisable to use the bathrooms before you start your cruise. Drop off at the lodge or jetty is at 6:30 pm.
